FAQ

FAQs

Are there age restrictions for campers at Camp One?

Yes, there are. To ensure full engagement for all campers, we are limiting campers to rising kindergarteners through rising 6th graders.

Is there a wait list for full camps?

Yes! Please email us at camponeatl@gmail.com with your name, your child’s name/age, and the week(s) of camp for which you’d like to be added to the waitlist. We’ll respond as fast as we can!

The waitlist will only be utilized once a camp is full, it cannot serve as a method to hold a spot before registration. We do hope you get the spot you want!

Why do I see so many giant redwoods on your website?

The sequoia tree is one of the world’s largest trees, but has a rather shallow root system. However, sequoias grow close to each other and the roots of each tree intertwine with the others, increasing its stability, strength, and longevity. At Camp One, this is exactly what we are trying to instill in children: we are better together, and there is value and strength in honoring the humans that surround us.

When will I receive details for the camps I registered for?

We will send a thorough email two weeks before camp begins. If there are details you need or want before then, feel free to email us at camponeatl@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to answer your question.

Does Camp One offer before and aftercare?

Yes! We will offer both before-camp care (beginning at 8:00) and after-camp care (3:00-6:00) at an additional fee.

Extra care can be purchased only for the whole week (not by days). Before care begins at 8:00 AM and can be purchased for $25/week. Aftercare begins at 3:01 and ends at 6:00. It can be purchased for $50/week. A link to purchase add ons will be emailed to you a few weeks before camp begins.

How many children will be in one session?

Each week of camp will be capped at 40 children. We will have plenty of staff and space for all of our campers.

I need your tax ID number to be reimbursed for childcare.

Sure thing! Here it is: 87-2836654

I can’t afford Camp One. Do you provide any financial assistance?

Yes! It is our goal to make camp accessible for all families. This year, we are offering 2 free spots and 2 half-priced spots per week of camp. If you need assistance, please fill out this form.
